Currently there is a fine of Rs 500 for wearing masks in public places in Delhi.

New Delhi:

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) decided on Thursday that there will be no fine for wearing face masks in public places in the national capital, official sources said.

They added, however, that the DDMA would probably issue an advice to people and ask them to wear masks in overcrowded places.

Currently there is a fine of Rs 500 for wearing masks in public places in Delhi.

The decision was made at a meeting of the DDMA chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. This comes after the city recorded a significant decrease in the number of fresh COVID-19 cases over the past few days.
