“Many Efforts Made to Destroy Shiv Sena, All Failed”: Uddhav Thackeray

Uddhav Thackeray said attempts to destroy Shiv Sena failed

Mumbai:

Maharashtra’s prime minister, Uddhav Thackeray, said many efforts had been made to destroy the Shiv Sena, but all were futile. “Many attempts have been made to destroy the Shiv Sena, but those who have tried have been done,” Mr Thackeray, head of Shiv Sena, said on Saturday night at the launch of “Dharmaveer”, a Marathi biography of Sena leader Anand Dighe.

He praised the hard work and sacrifices that loyal Shivsainiks made because they kept the party strong.

“This film highlights the rise of the Shiv Sena and what loyalty to ordinary Shivsainiks means,” Mr Thackeray added.

Marathi actor Prasad Oak writes the lead role of Anand Dighe. The movie will be released on May 13th.

Dighe, the Thane district unit head of Shiv Sena, was a grassroots leader with a large fan base. He was commonly known as Dharmaveer and an alter ego of Sena founder Bal Thackeray.
