Vi MiFi portable 4G wireless router introduced to paid users in India

Vodafone Idea on Thursday announced the launch of the Vi MiFi portable 4G router for customers on the telecommunications provider’s post-paid plans. It is claimed that the pocket-sized router introduced by the telecommunications operator delivers high-speed internet up to 150 Mbps. Users can also connect up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices, including smartphones, smart TVs, laptops, tablets and IoT devices, according to Vi. The wireless router is equipped with a 2,700 mAh battery that reportedly provides up to five hours of use on a single charge.

Vi MiFi price in India is set at Rs. 2,000 and the wireless router is available for purchase along with a Vi hub-paid plan. The service will be available for purchase in stores in 60 cities for customers subscribed to Vi-postpaid plans from Rs. 399, according to the telecommunications operator.

It is noteworthy that Reliance Jio’s JioFi JMR540 router is priced at Rs. 1,999, and the company provides its M2S router free of charge on a ‘use and return basis’ for certain postpaid plans.
