Rajasthan Royals (RR)’s pacer Prasidh Krishna had the last laugh when he removed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opening batsman Virat Kohli on Tuesday with a short delivery on the fourth ball of his first over in IPL 2022. Kohli, who endured a skinny spot with the bat down late, tried to pull a short ball through Krishna, but in turn got a toe-end of the bat and put it on a point after a diving Riyan Parag pressed to end his fight in the middle. Kohli replaced Anuj Rawat at the top of the order, but could not influence the match. During his short stay at the fold, Trent Boult, the left-arm pacemaker, also bothered him with deliveries that came in handy.
However, after Kohli got some lead and a chance that the fielder shot just too short in the first over, Kohli’s luck ran out sooner than expected.
